About the position

The Personal Care Assistant at Maxim Healthcare Services is responsible for providing essential support to consumers in their daily activities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment while promoting independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to assigned consumers with activities of daily living.
• Assists with ambulation as applicable.
• Supports nutritional and dietary needs of consumers.
• Performs essential household duties.
• Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for consumers.
• Utilizes basic infection control techniques and procedures.
• Provides medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan.
• Maintains consumer confidentiality.
• Encourages consumer control and promotes the independent living philosophy.

Requirements

• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures.
