About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is designed to provide essential support to clients who require assistance in maintaining a comfortable and supportive living environment. This role involves helping clients with personal care tasks, household activities, and facilitating social engagement, ensuring their well-being and comfort when they are unable to manage these tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with phone calls and correspondence as needed.
• Facilitate participation in social activities, including family gatherings and recreational activities.
• Assist clients with errands in the community.
• Provide friendly and consistent medication reminders when necessary.
• Offer transportation for grocery shopping and doctor's appointments.
• Assist with household tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, washing dishes, and cleaning floors.
• Promote general hygiene by assisting clients with bathing, grooming, showering, dental care, and other personal hygiene needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
• 1 year of caregiving experience (Preferred)

• Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work
