About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is designed to provide essential support to clients who require assistance in maintaining a comfortable and supportive living environment. This role involves helping clients with personal care, household tasks, and facilitating social activities, ensuring their well-being and comfort when they are unable to perform these tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with phone calls and correspondence as needed.
• Facilitate participation in social activities such as family gatherings and recreational activities.
• Assist clients with errands in the community.
• Provide friendly and consistent medication reminders when necessary.
• Offer transportation for grocery shopping and doctor's appointments.
• Assist with household tasks including laundry, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, washing dishes, and cleaning floors.
• Promote general hygiene by assisting clients with bathing, grooming, showering, dental care, and other personal hygiene needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver's License is required.
• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in senior care is preferred.
