About the position

The Personal Care Assistant role at Senior Helpers involves providing compassionate, non-medical support to seniors in their homes. This part-time role is flexible, allowing for various shifts and the opportunity to assist multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Reminding clients to take their medications as prescribed.
• Running errands, including grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments and providing transportation.
• Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the client.
• Documenting care activities and any changes in the client's condition.
• Communicating with the client's family and healthcare professionals as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a personal care assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassion and empathy for clients' well-being.
• Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with valid insurance.
