About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Greater Love Home Health Care, Inc. involves providing essential personal assistance services to clients, including help with daily living activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. The PCA is also responsible for light housekeeping tasks and ensuring the safety and well-being of the clients. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to observe and report changes in the client's condition.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients with eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Performs light housekeeping tasks such as bed making, dusting, and vacuuming as needed.
• Observes clients for changes in physical and mental status and reports findings to the supervisor.
• Prepares meals and reminds clients to take medications.
• Provides incontinence care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and family information.
• Documents daily care and services provided, including any schedule changes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to report changes in client condition during shifts.
• Experience in healthcare or personal care for 6 months or more.
