About the position

Arya Home Healthcare is seeking compassionate and reliable home attendants (Caregivers) to provide personal care and assistance to seniors and people with disabilities in their homes. This job is available year-round and can be tailored to fit either part-time or full-time schedules depending on your availability and the client's needs. The role involves providing essential support to clients, which may include assistance with daily living activities, companionship, and ensuring their overall well-being. Previous experience as a Home Attendant is preferred, but not required, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in caregiving. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, proof of citizenship or employment authorization, and must be willing to submit to a background check as per Virginia code 63.2-1720. The time commitment for this position varies based on client needs, typically ranging from 8 to 12 hours per day. This is an in-person job, and caregivers will be assigned to clients within their local area, including Fairfax, Herndon, Leesburg, Vienna, and Centreville, Virginia. Payment for this role is competitive, with opportunities for overtime and work-performance bonuses. At Arya Home Healthcare, caregivers will receive ongoing training and support from our Nursing Director and Administrator. We provide a comprehensive "Personal Care Aide Training Curriculum" to ensure that all caregivers are well-prepared to meet the needs of their clients. The role is not just about providing physical assistance; it also involves building meaningful relationships with clients and making a positive difference in their lives. Our goal is to help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while fostering a caring and respectful work environment for both clients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance to seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients to enhance their quality of life.
  • Follow individualized care plans as directed by the Nursing Director and Administrator.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to commute to and from client's home.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by Virginia law.
  • Willingness to obtain a proper PCA/HHA Aide licensure, if not already certified.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different client situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a Home Attendant or caregiver.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Ability to communicate in Farsi, Urdu, or Hindi.
