In this role, you will assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support. You will also provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering medication as prescribed and assisting with medication reminders, ensuring that clients adhere to their healthcare plans. Your responsibilities will also include performing light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space. You will accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation as needed, ensuring they receive the care they require. Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals is essential, as is engaging clients in activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Documentation is a key part of this role, as you will need to maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities and any observed changes in health. Collaboration with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers is vital to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care. Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients is also a critical aspect of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field preferred.
  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification is a plus.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting with mobility.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
