As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Emotional support and companionship are also vital aspects of this role, as you will help patients feel comfortable and cared for during their recovery or treatment. Additionally, you will assist patients with mobility and physical therapy exercises, ensuring they maintain their physical health and independence. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Monitor and record vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals

  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare providers

Requirements

  • Inpatient BLS Certification
  • Driver's License
  • Experience in clinic, emergency medicine, medical-surgical, PICU, outpatient, or other healthcare settings is preferred
  • Ability to provide care to patients in inpatient or operating room (OR) environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients in need
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with caring for patients in Level II Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals
