About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role is focused on providing essential support and care to residents in a respectful and friendly manner. The PCA follows individualized service plans, documents changes in residents' conditions, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and company policies. This position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety standards while delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

• Follow the services outlined in each resident's service plan in a friendly, respectful, and supportive manner.
• Document any observed change of condition in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Comply with the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure services delivered are complete and tailored for each resident.
• Report identified issues not supporting quality services to the immediate supervisor for correction.
• Understand and follow all company policies as well as local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to resident care.
• Work safely in conjunction with other employees and report any unsafe actions immediately to the supervisor.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers and assist others beyond job responsibilities.
• Communicate between Personal Care Assistants regarding resident needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

• Entry-level position with no prior experience required.
• Ability to follow service plans and document changes in resident conditions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
