About The Position
As a Personal Care Assistant at Sheboygan County, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing staff at the Center. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with non-physical tasks that enhance the quality of life for residents. This position is designed for individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to providing exceptional care while adhering to safety protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment for residents, which includes making beds, straightening rooms, and managing laundry. Additionally, you will assist in meal preparation and distribution, ensuring that residents receive their meals in a timely and respectful manner. Your role will also involve engaging with residents through reading and writing activities, as well as supporting the Life Enrichment Department in organizing and facilitating activities for residents. The work environment is dynamic and requires a high level of physical activity. You will be on your feet for most of the day, engaging in various tasks that require bending, lifting, and moving. The position also involves a risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, so adherence to safety protocols is essential.
