About the position

Springview Assisted Living is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCA) to join our team on the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. This role is essential in providing compassionate care to our elderly residents, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting residents with various activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders. You will also engage in light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and maintaining a clean living environment, which are crucial for the comfort and well-being of our residents. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff, demonstrating excellent telephone manners.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions to adhere to corporate policies and state regulations.
  • Submit to TB testing, drug testing, and criminal background checks as part of the hiring process.
  • Maintain punctuality and dress professionally in scrubs.
  • Provide support and assistance as needed to residents and team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with elderly residents.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the job location.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a Personal Care Aide or Med-Tech is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training in elderly care.
