Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and light housekeeping.
  • Provide assistance with the use of mobility devices like canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Help clients with prescribed range of motion exercises and special dietary preparations.
  • Perform other assigned activities as taught by a nurse for specific patients.
  • Maintain a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and effectively manage the demands of the job.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle for work.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Open to undergoing a criminal background check as required by the state of California.
  • Registered with the State of California (assistance provided).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior care or personal assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
