Our residents enjoy a full range of social and cultural programs and activities while residing in our assisted living communities. The right candidate for this position is someone who truly enjoys the company of older adults and who will be dedicated to ensuring their wellness and safety. This position requires exemplary character and integrity to be exhibited while carrying out the duties of this position. We are currently hiring for the following shifts: full-time afternoons, part-time midnights, and contingent days. A Personal Care Attendant (PCA) provides direct personal care for our Coville Apartment residents. The PCA will participate in shift reports, assist with baths (including full baths in and out of the tub), apply lotions and powders, assist with dressing and undressing, buttoning clothing, tying shoes, combing hair, brushing teeth, putting in dentures and hearing aids, and putting on jewelry, among other ADLs as needed. Additional responsibilities include shaving male residents, making beds, helping prepare rooms for admission, welcoming new residents and orienting them to their room and call lights, washing and drying residents' laundry, administering treatments such as lotions, nasal sprays, eye drops, and inhalers, answering call lights promptly, assisting with incontinence care, cleaning any accidents, and assisting in all emergencies. The PCA will also report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor and complete the necessary forms, make wake-up calls, assist any resident who becomes ill or needs help to their room, and observe resident changes in mental status, mobility, falls, skin condition, incontinence, eating habits, and complaints of pain or illness, reporting these observations to the supervisor.
