About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with their daily needs and promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Aid in mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary, to help clients move safely within their home or community.
• Monitor client health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Administer basic medical care as needed, including CPR and first aid when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, group home, or long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and familiarity with ADLs is essential.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
