About the position

The Personal Care Aide position involves assisting elderly or disabled adults with daily living activities in their homes. The role focuses on providing personal care, meal preparation, and household management while ensuring the well-being of clients. This position is available for both full-time and part-time schedules, offering flexibility to accommodate various needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly or disabled adults with daily living activities at their home.
• Perform household tasks such as making beds, doing laundry, and washing dishes.
• Prepare meals for clients as needed.
• Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene and grooming.
• Advise families and clients on nutrition, cleanliness, and household utilities.
• Assist with scheduling medical appointments and transportation to those appointments.

Requirements

• Must have previous Hoyer lift experience.
• Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a supervised setting, preferably in a healthcare facility under the direction of an RN.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
