About the position

The Personal Injury Case Manager at The Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm plays a vital role in supporting clients who have suffered personal injuries. This position involves managing cases, providing client support, and ensuring effective communication between clients, attorneys, and insurance companies. The Case Manager will work closely with a team of experienced attorneys to ensure that clients receive the compensation they deserve while navigating the legal process with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating empathy and compassion while addressing their questions and concerns throughout the legal process.
  • Educate clients about the legal process, their rights, and potential outcomes, ensuring they are well-informed throughout their case.
  • Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases, ensuring all necessary documents, records, and deadlines are met, assisting attorneys in building persuasive arguments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, attorneys, and insurance companies to provide updates on case progress.
  • Keep detailed records of all case-related activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements by creating comprehensive demand packages for submission to insurance carriers and opposing parties when appropriate.
  • Communicate with adjusters to confirm receipt of demand and secure initial offer.

Requirements

  • 2-5 Years of Customer Service Experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - demonstrates a sense of empathy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience in Customer Service, Case Manager, Legal Assistant, or similar role within a Law firm is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in pre-law, legal studies, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
