About the position

The Legal Assistant will assist the Pre-Litigation team and be an integral part of case management. This position is crucial for ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills. The role involves a variety of tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the legal practice, particularly in the area of personal injury law. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and organizing medical records, which includes requesting updated medical records and bills, keeping track of these requests to ensure timely receipt, and redacting sensitive information from medical records. You will also be tasked with maintaining well-organized medical records and client files, which is vital for case management and client representation. Additionally, you will work closely with attorneys and the case management team, confirming medical providers that clients have been treated by, and collecting necessary medical records and billing information. As a bilingual position, you will also be responsible for translating for clients and staff, which is essential for effective communication and client service. This role is not just about administrative tasks; it is about being part of a team that is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their cases are handled with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Requesting updated medical records and bills

  • Processing invoices

  • Working one-on-one with Attorneys and the Case Management team

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Strong time management skills
