About the position

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team at Rebecca K Sapp Law Firm. This part-time position is based in Lilburn, GA, and offers a competitive pay rate of $15 an hour. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our organization by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will be the first point of contact for our firm, which means that your role is not only administrative but also customer-facing. Your responsibilities will include welcoming guests, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support across the organization. In this role, you will coordinate front-desk activities, which include distributing correspondence and managing incoming mail. It is essential that you maintain a pleasant demeanor, as you will be interacting with clients and visitors regularly. You will also need to handle emergencies effectively and ensure that office operations run smoothly. Multitasking and stress management skills are vital, as you will be juggling various tasks throughout the day. Ultimately, your goal will be to ensure that all administrative tasks are executed to the highest quality standards, contributing to the overall efficiency of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries as well as assist with ongoing daily mail/deliveries
  • Ensure reception area, lobby, and conference rooms are tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email as directed
  • Data entry projects as needed or directed
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing and answering/redirecting phone calls as needed

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Legal Assistant, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice-to-haves

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
