A prominent plaintiff's law firm based in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess 5-10 years of litigation experience. Previous litigation and personal injury experience are required, and medical malpractice experience is a plus. Candidates without the required experience will not be considered. This position is crucial in supporting the legal team in managing personal injury cases effectively and efficiently. The responsibilities of the Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager include setting up case structures, organizing case documents, and managing calendar dates. Effective communication with legal team members, clients, counsel, experts, and the court is essential. Additionally, the paralegal will be responsible for subpoenaing medical and other records, reviewing documents and medical records, and preparing detailed summaries and chronologies. Responsibilities

  • Setting up case structure, organizing case documents and calendar dates

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of litigation experience
  • Previous litigation and personal injury experience
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and PDF conversion software
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Local and State discovery rules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Medical malpractice experience
  • Knowledge of Trial pad and/or TrialWorks
