About the position

We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Tacoma. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support in various stages of personal injury litigation. This role involves managing case schedules, preparing and filing legal documents, and coordinating with various parties including clients, courts, and insurance companies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of the litigation process are handled efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of our legal team. In this position, you will provide support in plaintiff's personal injury matters, which includes understanding the steps and processes of litigation and mandatory arbitration. You will prepare initial pleadings and ensure proper e-filing with District & Superior Court. Additionally, you will be responsible for perfecting service of process on Defendants and maintaining an accurate calendar of all case schedule deadlines. Your role will also involve preparing Requests for Admissions, Interrogatories, and Requests for Production, as well as responding to discovery requests from Defendants. You will schedule and coordinate depositions, arbitrations, and mediations with counsel and expert witnesses, ensuring that all parties are informed and prepared. Maintaining up-to-date filing for each client's case is essential, as is preparing attorneys for various meetings and phone conferences. You will handle the scheduling of appointments, hearings, depositions, trials, and arbitrations on the attorney calendar, and coordinate meetings via email or telephone communication with clients, Courts, attorneys' offices, insurance companies, and subject matter experts. Additionally, you will prepare additional pleadings such as witness statements, motions/orders, and Prehearing Statement of Proof. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury Litigation as a Paralegal.
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required.
