About the position

The Personal Injury Medical Lien Negotiator at TorkLaw is responsible for negotiating and reducing medical liens on behalf of clients in the personal injury sector. This role involves collaboration with medical providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to secure optimal resolutions, ensuring clients receive the compensation they deserve. The position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within a dynamic and innovative law firm.

Responsibilities

• Independently negotiate medical liens with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to secure optimal resolutions for clients.
• Review and analyze medical billing and lien documentation to identify discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for negotiation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to strategize and support case-specific lien negotiation tactics.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lien negotiation activities and communications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Personal Injury Medical Lien Negotiator in a legal setting.
• Strong understanding of medical billing, lien resolution, and negotiation techniques.
• Well-versed in statutory liens (Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, etc.).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
