About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. This position involves preparing and drafting discovery responses, ordering and compiling medical records, and ensuring adherence to patient confidentiality protocols. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of personal injury litigation experience and a solid background in paralegal work. The role is critical in managing legal documents and ensuring compliance with legal standards, particularly in the context of personal injury cases. The Senior Medical Records Coordinator will be responsible for producing and managing legal documents, including Deposition Written Questions (DWQs) and subpoenas, and assisting with document production. Additionally, the coordinator will conduct legal research and gather necessary documentation for cases, maintaining organized and accurate files throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and draft discovery responses.
  • Order, compile, and review medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Produce and manage legal documents, including Deposition Written Questions (DWQs) and subpoenas.
  • Assist with document production.
  • Conduct legal research and gather necessary documentation for cases.
  • Maintain organized and accurate files.

Requirements

  • Must have minimum 2 years of personal injury litigation experience on the plaintiff side.
  • Must have proven paralegal experience.
  • Experience obtaining medical records.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient confidentiality laws.
  • Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal education.
  • Experience with legal software and case management systems.
