The Personal Injury Paralegal will be responsible for handling personal injury litigation cases and will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. This role requires direct contact with clients, medical providers, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the cases. Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team. The position involves drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, interrogatories, motions and pleadings, according to judicial procedures.
  • Conducting legal research, including providing written analysis on statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources.
  • Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years Personal Injury Law Legal Assistant/Paralegal experience.
  • Strong background in Personal Injury law is a must.
  • Advanced level trial experience is required.
  • Proficient with legal research, including obtaining discovery from opposing counsel or other parties.
  • Experience filing in Federal and State Courts.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Technical expertise in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), including experience with asset/liability sheets.
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • BA/BS preferred, but not required.
