About the position

The Account Manager/Senior Account Manager (AM) at NFP is responsible for servicing client accounts in collaboration with Advisors and Account Executives. This role involves managing the renewal and marketing process, maintaining client relationships, and providing support in day-to-day account management. The AM will actively participate in client meetings and ensure effective communication with clients and carriers. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with flexibility for remote work for experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts, potentially leading client meetings for assigned accounts.
  • Manage the renewal and marketing process from start to finish in collaboration with Sales Leaders.
  • Communicate directly with clients and carriers alongside the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
  • Create and maintain client files according to office procedures, ensuring client policy records are updated in the agency management system.
  • Handle an assigned book of business with full servicing responsibilities for clients.

Requirements

  • Excellent written communication skills, including clarity, grammar, and the ability to present numeric data effectively.
  • Self-confidence to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to interact successfully with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Strong leadership skills and technical expertise with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution capabilities.
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite and agency management systems like AMS 360 or EPIC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with major markets such as AIG, Chubb/ACE, Cincinnati, Berkely One, and PURE.
  • Experience with carriers like Travelers, Progressive, and national flood.
