About the position

The Personal Insurance Account Manager at Lawley Insurance is responsible for servicing an existing book of business, advising clients on coverages, and managing various insurance processes such as endorsements and cancellations. This role emphasizes both service and sales, encouraging Account Managers to cross-sell and upsell insurance products. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal insurance servicing, particularly in home and auto, and will hold a Property & Casualty License.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned book of existing business, focusing on growth and retention.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with clients and prospects to ensure all coverage needs are addressed.
  • Develop, quote, and sell Personal Insurance to new and existing clients.
  • Provide superior customer service to retain clients and generate referrals and new business opportunities.
  • Process endorsements and create insurance documents as needed.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with carriers and clients.
  • Support miscellaneous duties as requested.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of insurance experience in customer service or account management.
  • Property & Casualty License in Connecticut.
  • Relevant knowledge of insurance products, documents, and usages.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Applied & EPIC preferred.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Open to continuing education; college degree preferred.
  • Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for making customers and coworkers feel important and valued.
  • Methodical yet swift decision-making skills.
  • Precise verbal and written communication skills, even under time constraints.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in personal insurance servicing in the Connecticut area.
  • Familiarity with home and auto insurance products.
