About the position

Tower Street Insurance is a highly reputable and fast-growing agency seeking a high-achieving, detail-oriented Personal Lines Insurance Account Assistant to join our Agency, based in Dallas, Texas. This position is ideal for individuals who understand the importance of customer service, teamwork, and possess extensive insurance knowledge. As a Personal Lines Account Assistant, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and solidifying relationships with clients. You will provide timely, day-to-day support for assigned accounts, which includes the delivery of policy documents, endorsement processing, and responding to client inquiries. Your role will also involve maintaining contact with carriers and customers, coordinating with the appropriate account representatives regarding client servicing, and handling client inquiries and follow-ups for policy updates. In addition, you will compile and create proposals, summaries, and additional documents as requested. You will receive requests from prospective clients and provide new business quotations as needed. Developing and fostering quality relationships with clients, teammates, and carrier representatives will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with clients.
  • Provide timely, day-to-day support for assigned accounts, including delivery of policy documents and endorsement processing.
  • Respond to client inquiries and maintain contact with carriers and customers.
  • Coordinate with appropriate account representatives regarding client servicing.
  • Handle client inquiries and follow-ups for policy updates.
  • Compile and create proposals, summaries, and additional documents as requested.
  • Receive requests from prospective clients and provide new business quotations as needed.
  • Develop and foster quality relationships with clients, teammates, and carrier representatives.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years as a Personal Lines Account Assistant with an understanding of Personal Property & Casualty insurance coverage, underwriting, and rating concepts.
  • Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverage and interpret abstract data.
  • Intermediate PC skills, with the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systems.
  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required for designated office days.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and managers across all levels.
  • Ability to promote and maintain a team environment, finding accommodating solutions for customers, companies, and the Agency.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or related work experience preferred.
  • Experience with Applied Epic Agency Management System or similar insurance management system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
