The Personal Lines Account Assistant (AA) plays a crucial role in the personal lines department, serving as the backbone and foundation of the team. This position involves close collaboration with clients and the internal service team to ensure that service deliverables not only meet but exceed client and agency expectations. The AA is responsible for a variety of essential duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the satisfaction of our clients. The Account Assistant will handle incoming mail, which includes scanning, labeling, and distributing documents received via fax, email, and USPS. They will prepare deposits for the accounting team and issue ID cards as needed. Providing basic customer service is a key part of the role, which includes answering telephone inquiries and offering information on billing, coverage, and change requests. The AA will also assist the production unit with special projects related to sales and servicing, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. In addition to these responsibilities, the Account Assistant will update the Applied EPIC management system with necessary database changes and utilize this system to produce change requests and suspense items in accordance with department timeframes. Data entry tasks will include endorsements and basic client information, as well as monitoring and completing underwriting requests from carriers. The AA will prepare letters of explanation to accompany policy documentation and follow up on late payments and cancellation notices from finance companies. Communication with clients and adjusters regarding claim status and progress is also a vital part of the role, as is assisting the production unit in the development of new accounts. The Account Assistant will utilize word processing for proposals, certificates, and ordering ID cards, and will prepare proposals and complete fact-finding opportunities while communicating with underwriting. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate vendor or agency management systems as applicable
  • Proficiency in Applied EPIC or ability to learn this program
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a plus
  • Ability to manage client needs and multiple tasks
  • Good organization skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant disposition
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • High School or Associate Degree
  • CO Property & Casualty License
