About the position
The Personal Lines Account Manager at Brown & Brown Insurance is responsible for managing and retaining client relationships within the Personal Lines team. This role involves day-to-day account management, ensuring client satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and focuses on building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to improve client retention and support the growth of the assigned book of business.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day account activities for an assigned book of business, including processing policies and endorsements, invoicing, and issuing certificates of insurance.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to enhance client retention.
- Assist in the renewal process for assigned and prospective clients, including handling renewal applications and preparing renewal proposals.
- Review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal standards.
- Support marketing and sales teams as needed and document compliance in the sales management database.
- Participate in training opportunities to stay current on industry information and maintain required licensing.
Requirements
- Insurance Producer license in good standing or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- College Degree in a business-related field.
- Professional Designation specific to area of specialty (e.g., ARM, CIC, RPLU).
