About the position

As a Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager at Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and technical support within our Personal Lines Department. This position is designed for individuals with over a year of experience in Personal Lines insurance, who are eager to elevate their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting with client service and managing transactions related to personal lines accounts, ensuring adherence to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and the procedural guidelines outlined in our Professional Procedure Manual. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve quoting and working with various national and regional insurance carriers, as well as maintaining strong communication with clients through email and phone interactions. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, reflecting your commitment to providing exceptional service. The role offers flexibility in terms of office location, with opportunities to work from any of our offices in Rhode Island or Massachusetts, including the possibility of a hybrid remote schedule after the training period. Responsibilities

  • Assist and handle client service and related transactions to personal lines accounts.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Personal Lines insurance.
  • Mandatory Insurance Producer License.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance coverage and terminology.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office products.
