About the position

At Risk Placement Services, we are seeking a Personal Lines Inside Underwriter who will play a crucial role in underwriting individual insurance applications for property and casualty coverage. This position involves evaluating insurance applications based on established guidelines to determine whether to accept, modify, or decline risks. The successful candidate will assess various factors, including the property's value, location, usage, safety features, and other pertinent information to make informed underwriting decisions. The Personal Lines Inside Underwriter will maintain frequent contact with field representatives to gather necessary information that supports and defends underwriting decisions. This role does not have any assigned production goals, allowing the underwriter to focus on thorough evaluations and risk assessments. Additionally, the underwriter may provide support to the Senior Underwriter in managing and servicing accounts, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the underwriting team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of related experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
