About the position

The Arbella Operations Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting department and agents by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of insurance policy transactions. This position is integral to maintaining Arbella's commitment to exceptional service and quality work that aligns with the company's brand. The Operations Associate is expected to build strong relationships with internal customers, contributing to a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork and communication. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as the associate will need to recognize and escalate issues to the Team Manager or appropriate resolution experts when necessary. In this position, the Operations Associate will engage with various internal departments, including Underwriting, Product, Billing, and Customer Service, to complete daily tasks effectively. The associate will also be responsible for contacting agents to gather correct or missing information on insurance applications and addressing any inquiries within their authority. The ability to shift priorities and manage a diverse workload is essential, as the associate will be expected to work independently under general supervision while ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate stellar customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Collaborate positively and effectively with team, department and business partners such as Underwriting, Product, Billing and Customer Service
  • Apprise Team Manager of assigned workload, issues, and escalated situations
  • Recognize and escalate problems to Team Manager or to problem resolution expert
  • Communicate with various internal departments to complete daily work, as required
  • Contact agents to obtain correct or missing information on insurance applications and answer agent questions within limits of authority
  • Shift priorities as needed
  • Demonstrate functional and technical skills required to complete assigned tasks which include processing new business and renewal policies as well as endorsements
  • Pursue work independently under general supervision
  • Manage assigned work efficiently to ensure timely completion

Requirements

  • General working knowledge of MS Office
  • Flexible and adaptable when faced with change
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Quick learner, able to navigate multiple systems and products
  • Works well individually as well as a team
