About the position

The Personal Lines Product Analyst at COUNTRY Financial plays a vital role in the development and enhancement of insurance products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives. This position involves providing analytical support to the Personal Lines Market Managers, driving product insights, and contributing to the strategic direction of product offerings. The role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work, and is based in Bloomington, IL.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful development of new products and manage existing products by making recommendations on design, pricing, underwriting, and distribution.
• Analyze premium rates, loss experience, and retention to ensure profitability goals are met.
• Monitor the mix of business in assigned states, identifying changes and their reasons.
• Develop business profit and growth strategies in collaboration with marketing, translating market opportunities into new product ideas.
• Research and maintain awareness of competitors' market positions, including rates and service levels.
• Coordinate with IT to implement rate revisions, new products, and features, while developing relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, and Customer Service.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to small groups.
• Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and processes.
• Experience with forecasting and modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases.
• Typically requires 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
