About the position
As a Personal Lines Product Analyst at COUNTRY Financial, you will play a vital role in the PL Market Management team, focusing on enhancing product insights and analytics for Personal Lines Market Managers. Your responsibilities will include driving product development, managing existing products, and providing data-driven support to local markets to propel the business forward.
Responsibilities
- Drive the successful development of new products and manage existing products by making recommendations regarding product design, pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, and claims processes.
- Ensure overall goals for production and underwriting profitability are met by analyzing premium rates, loss experience, and retention.
- Monitor the mix of business in assigned state(s), identifying changes and reasons for those changes.
- Develop business profit and growth strategies in conjunction with marketing, translating market opportunities into new product ideas by researching competitors' market positions.
- Communicate and coordinate key profit metrics with the IT department to ensure proper implementation of rate revisions, new products, and features.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to small groups.
- Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and processes.
- Experience with forecasting and modeling.
- Experience with SQL and understanding of relational databases.
- Typically requires 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
