About the position

The Personal Lines Analyst position at West Bend involves collaborating with the Personal Lines team to support profit and growth strategies for Personal Lines products. The role requires analyzing market data, recommending changes to rates and coverages, and developing key performance metrics. The analyst will serve as the Product Owner for Personal Lines data, ensuring effective communication with business partners and technical resources to meet data needs and project priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for profit and growth strategies of Personal Lines products.
  • Collaborate with Analysts, Managers, and the Director of Personal Lines Products and Analytics.
  • Recommend changes to rates, coverages, and underwriting positions based on market analysis.
  • Maintain and analyze existing data sources and reports to deliver insights about the Division.
  • Identify and evaluate new data sources for potential use.
  • Develop new reports and key performance metrics.
  • Serve as Product Owner for Personal Lines data.
  • Work with key business partners to articulate data needs.
  • Coordinate with technical resources to meet business needs.
  • Make final decisions and act as the primary point of contact for deliverables.
  • Ensure return on investment by prioritizing projects and managing outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a Personal Lines Product or Data Management role.
  • Advanced study or certification in a data-related field or techniques.
  • Prior actuarial experience and/or completion of actuarial exams.
  • Minimum one year as Product Owner under Agile operating model.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform highly detailed and analytical work.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using SQL, Power BI, and Business Objects.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance or related field.
  • Associate in Personal Insurance (API) designation.
