About the position

The Personal Lines Technical Assistant at Brown & Brown Insurance plays a crucial role in supporting the personal lines insurance department. This position involves managing policy-related tasks, addressing client inquiries, and ensuring efficient administrative operations to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive working relationships with customers for account retention.
• Gather updated information from customers for the annual marketing of their renewal.
• Handle client requests for information, endorsements, cancellations, payments, and other services as required.
• Assist in analyzing insurance exposures while preparing renewal reviews and account summaries.
• Assist with expiration reports and updating the agency management system.
• Recommend coverages or coverage changes based on client needs.
• Process endorsements and quotes proficiently using carrier sites.
• Develop a good working knowledge of company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
• Review policies, endorsements, and quotations prepared by carriers for accuracy and completeness.
• Compile and prepare marketing and underwriting data, including loss runs and Motor Vehicle Reports.
• Issue binders, certificates, automobile identification cards, invoices, and similar items.
• Obtain policy documents from carriers and attach them to the agency management system.

Requirements

• 2+ years of work experience in an office environment
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice-to-haves

• 4-40 license or the ability to obtain within 60 days
• Insurance Industry experience
• Knowledge of AMS360
