This role is essential in supporting our underwriting team by ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and processed accurately and efficiently. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for communicating with Personal Lines Operations and agencies regarding new business quotes, ensuring that all required information is obtained and that coverage terms are appropriate based on the submitted risk. Administrative responsibilities will include following up on underwriting tasks, handling risk reports, change of address notifications, pending transactions, and other processing functions in the Diamond system. Monitoring the territory's book profile, new business quote activity, and retention figures will be part of your duties, as well as alerting underwriting to any issues or opportunities that require further review. You will assist underwriters with email and phone call support, research coverage questions, and handle special projects as directed.
