IMT Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Underwriting Billing Support Specialist to join our Personal Lines department. Responsibilities

• Handle a high number of calls from mortgage companies, agents, and policyholders relating to coverage verification, questions about payments, and billing fees (expect this to take up 50 to 75% of time on daily basis).
• Respond to basic billing and customer service-related questions in a professional and timely manner.
• Process personal lines transactions accurately and in a timely fashion while following proper underwriting procedures.
• Complete miscellaneous departmental reports.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the Personal Lines department.

Requirements

• A high school diploma and 0-2 years equivalent experience is needed to perform essential functions.
• Must be detail oriented while maintaining accuracy. (e.g., keying and proofing).
• Ability to listen and verbally communicate to the customer and with other team members.
• Must have writing skills to effectively communicate with all customers (both internal and external).
• Must possess a basic understanding of all personal lines business.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer systems.
• Possess organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess the ability to work well with others.
