About the position
The Personal Production Assistant at Huntington Bank provides essential administrative support to the mortgage retail sales department, specifically assisting high-producing mortgage loan officers (MLOs). This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day client interactions, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining strong relationships between clients and the bank. The assistant is responsible for resolving complex account issues, processing loan applications, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the mortgage retail sales department.
- Manage day-to-day activities and client interactions with Huntington.
- Build effective rapport with clients and internal partners.
- Service customers by providing detailed information on specific accounts.
- Perform typing, data entry of loan applications, answering phones, and filing.
- Research and resolve complex problems regarding service activities and operational issues.
- Cross-sell bank products and services.
- Assist the loan officer by collecting and maintaining documentation and preparing for meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and departmental systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a sales support role required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.
- PC and Internet proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Mortgage processing experience preferred.
- Referral experience that includes providing related product and service options to customers.
