About the position

The Personal Services Coordinator at Amador County Behavioral Health is responsible for providing consumer-centered behavioral health services for individuals with mental, emotional, and co-occurring disorders, including substance abuse. This role involves crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy, ensuring that clients receive the necessary support and resources. The coordinator will work as part of a team to develop treatment plans and may be required to provide 24/7 crisis coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify treatment plans as a team member.
• Implement treatment plans and report progress to the recovery team.
• Provide case management to target populations under supervision.
• Arrange and provide transportation for clients as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments and basic crisis intervention.
• Complete evaluation and clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in behavioral health education programs and training conferences.
• Respond to 24/7 crisis coverage, including mobile crisis.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Human Services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current license as Psychiatric Technician, or valid Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor may substitute for an AA Degree.
• One or more years of experience in social services, domestic violence counseling, or substance abuse counseling may substitute for an AA Degree.
• Personal experiences as a consumer, family member, or caregiver utilizing Behavioral Health Services may substitute for an AA Degree.
