About the position

The Personal Shopper at Brookshire Grocery Company is responsible for preparing online customer orders by selecting quality products with speed and accuracy. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and requires knowledge of product selection and standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepares online customer orders by accurately selecting products from shelves.
• Identifies out-of-stock items and recommends substitutions of similar value.
• Ensures accurate checkout totals by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintains current knowledge of product knowledge and food safety standards.
• Organizes, bags, and loads orders into customer vehicles.
• Assists customers with online orders and responds to inquiries and complaints.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment by cleaning workspace and handling spills.
• Uses suggestive selling initiatives to promote product sales.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cash register operations.
• Basic mathematical and counting skills.
• Basic knowledge of food quality standards and temperature regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 16 years of age; 21 years in Louisiana for driving.

Nice-to-haves

• TABC/LACT certification where applicable.
• Experience in a grocery store environment.
