The Personal Shopper role at Brookshire Grocery Company involves preparing online customer orders by selecting quality products with speed and accuracy while providing excellent customer service. The position requires maintaining product knowledge and food safety standards to ensure the quality and freshness of orders, as well as assisting customers with their online orders and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Prepares online customer orders by accurately selecting products from shelves.
• Identifies item out-of-stocks and recommends substitutions of similar value.
• Ensures accurate checkout totals for customers by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Remains current on product knowledge and food safety standards.
• Places orders in storage at proper food temperature and retrieves them prior to customer arrival.
• Organizes, bags, and loads orders into customer vehicles.
• Maintains a friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude while assisting customers.
• Accesses or memorizes product codes and remains familiar with ad and special items.
• Remains current on tender policies and procedures related to payments.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment by cleaning workspace and cash wrap.

Requirements

• Six or more months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum of 16 years of age required; 21 years of age required in Louisiana.
• TABC/LACT certification required where applicable.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of cash register operations.
• Basic mathematical and counting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
