About the position

As a Personal Support Assistant (PSA) / Caregiver at Dungarvin, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and/or mental health diagnoses. This live-in position offers a unique opportunity to provide personal and companion care in a residential setting, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those you support. You will work directly with individuals, assisting them in their daily activities and helping them achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will include providing assistance with personal care, medication management, and engaging individuals in community activities, all while fostering a supportive and respectful environment. In this role, you will be expected to create lasting positive impacts on the lives of the individuals you serve. You will be a compassionate caregiver, dedicated to coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals. Dungarvin emphasizes person-centered practices, and as a PSA, you will be encouraged to explore the dreams of those you support while providing active treatment at every opportunity. This position not only offers a competitive salary of up to $68,000 per year for a full-time commitment of 112 hours per week but also includes comprehensive benefits such as paid time off, free room and board, and various insurance options for full-time employees.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and flexible in approach to care.
  • Observant and detail-oriented to ensure the well-being of individuals.
  • Strong computer skills for documentation purposes.
  • Ability to work as a positive role model and part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in caregiving or human services is preferred but not mandatory.
