About the position
As a Personal Trainer at Gold's Gym, you will play a crucial role in maximizing our members' training potential by creating personalized fitness programs tailored to their individual needs. This position involves conducting fitness assessments, providing guidance on nutrition and exercise, and maintaining a supportive environment for members of all fitness levels. You will report directly to the Member Experience Manager and contribute to the overall success of the gym by helping members achieve their fitness goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness service appointments with both new and existing members to design a personalized fitness game plan.
- Process new member intake questions to understand fitness goals and relevant constraints.
- Develop individualized exercise programs that are effective and challenging.
- Maintain professional support for club members with varying fitness backgrounds.
- Utilize floor hours to assist members with exercises and equipment demonstrations.
- Conduct thorough gym walkthroughs to clean and re-rack weights.
- Assist the club in achieving monthly revenue goals set by management.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current national fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or NCCA accredited equivalent).
- Experience in designing and implementing fitness programming based on individual needs.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptable coaching methods.
- Ability to quickly determine program changes to keep members engaged.
- Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
