About The Position
The YMCA is seeking a dedicated individual to promote its healthy spirit, mind, and body philosophy through personalized exercise prescriptions. This role involves screening and interviewing potential clients to assess their readiness for exercise and physical activity. The successful candidate will perform fitness tests or assessments to determine clients' current fitness levels and help them set realistic goals while providing motivation for adherence to their exercise programs. Additionally, the position requires the ability to develop and deliver exercise prescriptions tailored to all clientele, demonstrating and instructing specific techniques for safe and effective exercise performance. Supervising clients during exercise movements, maintaining records of their progress, and motivating individuals to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors are also key responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
