About the position

WinnCompanies is searching for a Pest Control Technician to join our military housing team at Fort Cavazos, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and elimination of structural pests. You will also properly report the application of insecticides used on the project and help ensure safe and pest-free living conditions for our residents. The position requires a proactive approach to pest management, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a high standard of service for our community. As a Pest Control Technician, you will identify pest problems and find appropriate solutions, applying chemical or mechanical devices in accordance with Integrated Pest Management practices. You will be expected to comply with all state, federal, and local regulatory agencies, maintaining all applicable certifications or licenses. Meeting work order response and completion times as defined in the management plan is crucial. You will be responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying chemicals in accordance with the product label, local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will record chemical application data through electronic databases and/or manual record keeping, and periodically perform inventory control to ensure an ample supply of materials is available.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Texas Pest Control Applicators' license.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain all certifications required to perform pest control activities on federal property.
  • Ability to read and write in English, in order to comprehend and comply with product labels.
  • Ability to wear the assigned uniform and adjust personal protection levels in accordance to label.
  • Basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.
  • Solid customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
