About the position

As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for working with a variety of customers in the hospitality industry and other commercial businesses. Your primary goal will be to provide quality services and identify solutions to pest problems, helping our customers protect their brand and support their success. This role includes a comprehensive 5-week PAID TRAINING program designed to equip you with the necessary tools and resources to excel in your field, even if you have no prior experience. Once you are established in your route, you will enjoy flexible scheduling and ownership of the customer accounts you service. In this position, you will establish effective working relationships with a diverse range of customers and partner with them to identify and solve their pest elimination needs. You will maintain expertise in Ecolab's product and service offerings, as well as industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions. Utilizing handheld computerized equipment, you will manage service and document structural, sanitation, and pest issues. This is a field-based position that may require travel in and around the surrounding areas of Pensacola, FL. During your training program, you will be required to travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota for one of the five weeks. Ecolab will arrange and pay for your travel and certain related expenses. The work week is structured as a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of overnight shifts and being on call during off hours and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of work or military experience.
  • Current and valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts as required.
  • Willingness to be on call during off work hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to sell value-added products to existing customers.
  • Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred.
