About the position

Aptive Environmental LLC is seeking a dedicated and innovative Pest Control Technician to join our team in Durham, NC. This full-time position involves working on the road, addressing customer pest concerns and issues in the local area. The technician will report to the office in Raleigh, NC once a week. We are looking for a team player who thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $20, along with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and uncapped sales and referral bonuses, making our bonus structure unique in the industry. Additionally, the company provides a vehicle that can be taken home nightly, a gas card, and the opportunity to save significantly on driving expenses. The Pest Control Technician will be responsible for running a daily route, maintaining the truck and equipment, and keeping accurate records of treatments provided. The technician will mix and apply pesticides in compliance with state and federal laws, serving as a subject matter expert for customers by implementing effective pest solutions tailored to their needs. The role also includes advising customers on potential problems, maintaining proper inventory of pesticides, and carrying a product backpack weighing approximately 50 lbs. The work schedule includes every other Saturday, and the technician will be assigned a route in their local area. Candidates must possess a valid US driver's license for a minimum of three years and have a clean driving record. A drug test and background check will be conducted for all new hires. Responsibilities

  • Running a daily route to resolve customer pest concerns and issues.
  • Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order.
  • Keeping accurate records of treatments provided.
  • Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws.
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing efficient pest solutions.
  • Maintaining and servicing all route customers according to company standards and procedures.
  • Advising customers of potential problems.
  • Keeping management informed of any problems encountered on service routes.
  • Maintaining proper inventory of pesticides in usage.
  • Carrying a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • No experience needed; training will be provided.
  • A US driver's license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required.
  • A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
  • Ability to work outside in local areas.
