About the position
The Pooch Patio LLC is seeking a full-time Pet Bather to join their established, high-volume daycare, grooming, and boarding facility in Dallas. The role involves bathing dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring their cleanliness and comfort while maintaining a safe and hygienic grooming area. The ideal candidate must have a passion for dogs and be knowledgeable in various grooming techniques.
Responsibilities
- Bathe dogs for groomers, including brushing out coats pre-bath, shampooing, and conditioning.
- Clean ears, eyes, and perform anal gland expression as needed.
- Clip or dremmel nails and brush teeth of the dogs.
- Demat and dry dogs thoroughly after bathing.
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of the grooming area daily.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in dog handling.
- Knowledge of shampoo dilution rates and grooming techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of experience in dog brushing (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in dog bathing (preferred).
