About the position

Planet Pet Spa LLC is seeking an experienced dog and cat groomer for a full-time position. The role involves grooming pets according to client specifications in a supportive and well-equipped environment designed by groomers for groomers. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for career advancement, with a focus on maintaining a happy and stress-free atmosphere for both pets and groomers.

Responsibilities

• Groom pets according to client specifications, including bathing, brushing, and trimming.
• Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming and ear cleaning.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area.
• Interact with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dog groomer (5 years minimum).
• Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and comfortably.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to groom a minimum of 5 pets per day.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays and holidays, as needed.
• Have your own basic tools (specialized tools available for borrowing).
• Cat grooming skills (2 years minimum).
• Ability to communicate in English required.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
