Responsibilities
- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding their dog's care
- Provide overnight stays in the clients' home with the pets while the owner is gone
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with clients and their pets
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or as a dog trainer
- Knowledge of animal behavior and ability to handle different breeds and temperaments
- Ability to restrain animals when necessary for their safety or the safety of others
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large or require assistance
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage your time in order to get to all clients' homes at the proper times
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes or designated walking areas
